@Artemis_Fallow.   Easy! Will gets attacked by the captain in the mugging, then later on the ship the captain sees him heal himself. 

character travels by horse. so far got him mugged by the captain (whom I've still not decided the name of) and is taken to his ship. also, my character (ok, his name is Will and i'm just gonna call him that from now on). anyway, Will's a healer and he has magical powers and the captain somehow finds out. any ideas? thnks.

          Hmm... a good pirate name... *grins* Captain Killian? *is innocent* I don't really know, but there are a lot of name generators on the Internet. They're quite good. 
          Well, how does the character travel to the city? He/she could go by boat and the pirate is the captain. Or he/she could come to the city and... I dunno, maybe be the victim of an attempted mugging by him? o.O I don't know, whatever strikes your fancy.
