“Jeongguk, if you don’t make a move, Leehyun will.” Namjoon pointed, sighing. “He’s been moving in closer and closer to Taehyung and plans on asking him out here soon. I would hate for you to miss an opportunity.”
“Opportunity? I don’t even know if Tae likes me. At least with Leehyun hyung, they have a lot in common and seem cute together.” Jeongguk bitterly replied, not looking up at the elder.
Namjoon rolled his eyes. “So do you, kid.” He replied. “You don’t see it because you’re blind and a pessimist.”
“I am not.”
“Then ask Taehyung out for a date, won’t you?” Namjoon cut in quick, crossing his arms over his chest. “Can’t cry over wasted time when you have the time.”
“Alright, Mr. Poet,” Jeongguk weakly chucked. “I’ll— I don’t know, ask him out during Seokjin hyung’s dinner.”
“That’s literally a week away. You don’t get it.”
“I want to mentally prepare.”
“Mentally prepare my a$$, Jeongguk. Leehyun is head over heels and is certain. You waiting is only hurting your own chances with Taehyung.” Namjoon argued, shaking his head. “Look, I like Leehyun as much as the next guy but the way Taehyung looks at you is screaming for you to make a move but now he’s just thinking it wasn’t meant to be. Now, if Leehyun takes the chance you failed to take, I don’t doubt Taehyung won’t leap on it.”
“Then it would’ve meant to be that way, no?” Jeongguk tilted his head to the side, eyes bright up at his hyung who only threw his head back and groaned.
Namjoon sighed deeply, shaking his head. “Listen, don’t be mad at anyone but yourself if this doesn’t go your way, kid. That’s what I’ll leave you with.”
