You're right, buddy. Some people don't have the courage to distinguish between reality and fiction. They think that just because we write or read stories with certain themes, we’re claiming that people are gay in real life. They fail to see that apart from using names, we rarely base anything on reality. At the start of every story, it's clearly stated that it is entirely fictional, rooted in imagination. Unfortunately, their narrow-mindedness runs so deep that no amount of reasoning can reach them—they refuse to listen and instead mistake fiction for reality, seeing us as fake people, as if we're reducing everything to a stereotype.
And then there are those young teenagers, barely 13 or 14 years old, who haven’t even reached puberty yet, expressing twisted fantasies about being intimate with their idols. It's honestly heartbreaking and far more troubling than anything we’re accused of. What’s more baffling is when some fans say they’d die if their idol revealed a romantic relationship—like, seriously? Just because someone chooses to prioritize their own happiness over the unrealistic expectations of strangers? It's hard to comprehend. We may be judged for our fiction, but their attachment to a constructed ideal often goes far beyond reason. It’s exhausting and, at times, truly disheartening.
Stay safe, buddy, and don’t let any negativity get to you. I’m sending all my positive energy your way, hoping it lifts you up when you need it most. I want you to know how much I’ve truly loved reading your fanfiction—it’s brought me comfort, joy, and so much more. Though it makes me sad, I completely respect and accept your decision to stop writing. You deserve peace and happiness above all. Take care, and know that your words have made a difference. You will always have my support.
