          Your story have a unique character buildup , a very steady emotional shift as the story progresses , I like how the female character never wavers from her strong personality even in  toughest situations , how the male lead is intigruing and mysterious , he don't give away any emotion easily .... 
          Overall , it's not cringe ,, this is how any obsessive , story should be written ,,
