i’ve  already  spoken  to  shaena .. the  guard  stationed  outside  his  chambers  through  the  night  is  daerion —-   if  i  am  to  see  him,   i  will  have  to  go  through  sir  graye.

don’t  worry  yourself  over  untruthful  thoughts  such  as  that,    rhaenyra..      we  all  know  and  see  the  truth  about  how  the  prince  feels  about  you.       ..he  would  be  a  fool  to  turn  you  away.

i  know  what  i  want,   but  i  only  fear  that  he  does  not  reciprocate  it  ..   and  we  end  up  trapped  in  a  loveless  marriage  only  to  squeeze  out  heirs  for  the  throne.

maybe  that  is  what  the  meeting  is  about..       a  little  bit  late,    and  wasting  of  time..    —-but  i  hope  that  this  is  finally  what  we  have  all  been  waiting  for.      what  you  and  vaegon  deserve.

i  am  only  disclosing  what  i  know,   and  what  i  have  heard.   i  have  a  heart,    and  i  like  you  too  much  to  see  you  fall  victim  to  my  father  ( .. )    i’m  sure  i  am  not  the  only  one  who  can  attest  to  that.

yes,     i  am  loyal  to  rhaenyra..     and  i  always  will  be—-        but  turn  against  him?     i  would  never..     surely  that  would  get  me  killed,     i͟f͟      i  were  to  do  it.     ..which  i  am  not.     not after  he  gave  me  a  place  to  reside  after  leaving  home..     i’m  not  looking  to  start  trouble  with  the  k͟i͟n͟g̲.̲
