The witch smirked. “Okay. What sort of spell are you seeking?”
Beck bit her lip and glanced at her disguised daughter. “S—he needs help. There are a couple bad memories that have been plaguing him. Could you, maybe, erase them?”
The woman thought a moment. “How many memories?”
Beck closed her eyes. “All of them,” she whispered.
The witch raised her eyebrows. “That’s not a spell, Rebecca, that’s a curse.”
“Just do it,” Beck’s eyes were hard. She gripped Sage’s shoulder, making the girl wince.
“Are you sure you want to do this?” The other woman asked, a strange fire in her eyes.
“Yes.”
