          i wanted to pop on here and give you all a little life update... honestly, things have just been beyond crazy lately. i’ve been working my absolute tail off at this new job, and my schedule is completely packed until july 27. after that, it’s my birthday, and with my whole family flying in, i definitely need to soak up every second of that time with them. then, i have to pick up two extra shifts before i finally head out for a much-needed holiday break. to be totally transparent, things will probably be this busy for about another month, but i am so looking forward to things calming down soon.
          
          since things are a bit chaotic right now, i’m going to use this time to do some behind-the-scenes magic. i’ve been dying to refresh the covers for all my books for a while now, and since it’s such a detailed and complex process, it’s going to take me a little bit of time to get them perfect for you.
          
          also, i’ve been doing a lot of reflecting and i’ve realized that ASHA CLARE just isn’t aligning with where my heart is anymore. i really want to give you guys the best story possible, so i’ve decided to take this time to plan it out better and rewrite it from scratch. i know it’s a lot to ask, but please be so patient with me while i work on these changes. i’m hoping to get back to posting sooner rather than later, but i don't want to make any promises i can't keep just yet.

          i wanted to be honest and let you know that the last few weeks have been incredibly draining for me. i honestly haven't had the headspace or the time to sit down and write, which is why there wasn't a chapter for you yesterday... i am so sorry for the delay, but i really appreciate your patience while i work through this. i will be back next saturday with a new chapter of PURE HATE!!
          
          also, for those of you reading ASHA CLARE, i have had a bit of a breakthrough. i came up with a much better plot idea that honours the book, the characters, and the world even more, so i am going to be writing that version instead. i am really excited to share this shift with you.
          
          on top of that, i am planning to rebrand and change the covers for all of my books (hopefully i can get that done this week if my schedule allows for it).

          "I don't do anything half-heartedly," he insisted. "Especially when the prize is this captivating."
          
          "Am I the prize here?"
          
          "Depends on who's winning."
          
          "Who's even competing?"
          
          "Me," he admitted. "Only ever me."

          just a quick update about the setting of the story. i wanted to clear up any confusion and let you know that it's officially set in the US, not the UK.
          
          honestly, keeping it in an american high school setting just makes the plot flow so much better for a ton of reasons, especially with the football dynamics, the grading scale, and how college apps work later on. it just makes it way easier to write the specific drama i have planned for emily and luke.
          
          i'm going back through the chapters to clean up any lingering UK slang or spellings so everything matches up perfectly.
          
          thank you so much for reading and obsessing over these chapters with me, i love you all. get ready for the next update because luke is definitely about to demand answers from emily.

          just a little update for you all. i’ve republished the original version of PURE WORDS!!
          
          while i’m working on my new book “ASHA CLARE” and rewriting the first book of the pure series, “PURE HATE”, PURE LOVE will be available again for those who want to read it or revisit it.
          
          just a gentle note: this is the og version, so you might notice a few inconsistencies with the newer version of “PURE HATE”, and the writing might not reflect where i am now (hopefully i’ve grown since then...).
          
          but it still holds a very special place in my heart, and i’m so happy to share it with you again!!
