I know about ADHD. My son has it. We found it is due to under developed thyroid. So he takes meds for thyroid and is much better.
I was reading your story Journey. It has potential. It's a good story line, but needs focus and flow. With a little work and help from your English teacher in school I'm sure you can get it fixed.
As for your mom telling you to stop writing... I usually will not tell a child to not listen to their parent, but in this case, don't listen. Let me tell you why.
When I was in 5th grade we had an assignment to write a Christmas poem. My teacher was very impressed, as where the other kids in my class. However when I showed it to my sisters they started to insult me. They said I was a lier and there was no way I wrote it.
I was so embarrassed and upset by what they said that I stopped writing. It actually hurt my schooling. It wasn't until my senior high school English teacher asked me to be in the poetry club that I started writing again. I lost 8yrs of practice. (sigh)
I now use writing as an escape from the stress of life. I write poetry and short stories. I also have about 4 longer stories that I'm working on. Although I've had to put them on the back burner because of writer's block and life itself, I still keep the stories alive in my dreams and thoughts.
Some day I will post them. Either way, don't stop writing. It's the one thing I regret from my childhood, not writing.
