Hi Melissa! I just wanted to comment on your comment on ITD. You are so right with your #3 point. I had not thought of it that way before I read what you wrote. I always imagined Jake would just be thrilled and that Alex was right in waiting, bc Jake is under so much stress. You are right, there is no telling how long his stressed state is going to last. She needs to tell him NOW. I hope she tells him after the picnic NEXT CHAPTER!!!!!!!

Ummmmmm I think maybe it's just for dramatic reasons she hasn't told him tbh, keeps it interesting!! But no, in terms of the story it has only just happened - I know it feels like WEEEEEEKS AND MONTHS for you guys but it isn't, so she's just getting to grips with it a little. But yeah, Jake said to her this was something he was sorting, and I think gave the impression that it would be all over soon... so maybe she is just waiting for that. Idk...

@Laeaton: GURL!!!! I always feel like I am constantly reading b/w the lines, that I analyze things WAY too much - I am so happy you see where I was coming from. Like, I think that Alex's problem (feel free to chime in here, @ScarletteDrake) is that she still thinks that she's unworthy of Jake's attentions - which is HILARIOUS, b/c that's what Jake thinks!!! They are going thru so much of the same thing TOGETHER, but they have this need to not communicate that fear, that feeling, to each other. They each want to protect the other from their own personal bullshit, but it's in dealing w/ each other's bullshit that they become CLOSER, ya know? I want her to tell Jake about the baby b/c, contrary to Alex's belief, it would be AMAZING news for Jake, I think. It wouldn't be added stress, it'd be the thing that convinces them both that they DO belong to each other. I really don't think that has sunk in yet, for either of them. A baby is such a wondrous thing - & it would completely negate their pact of "no more secrets." UGH - JUST TELL HIM ALEX!!!!
