I just read your story and honestly.......
I've felt every emotion of the story,share them . The banter between Roy and Kathy - beautiful. The character arc of Katherine was fascinating. She grew more stronger , endured and being resilient. These things made her real .her survival, everything. How she opened up with others. How she chose herself and not drowned in darkness but balanced it .
Okay I think I might write an essay if I continue like this ..
In short your story is wonderful
