Hello! I have a question about your book In the Dark. What was up with the first option? It feels as if the second option or alternate ending was more of a "true" ending, the first was more of a tragic choice that wouldn't make sense even with their issues. I understand that they wouldn't have wanted to be hunted for the rest of their lives and they were drained from the lack of socializing and restraints, but even in that case, why would she trust the doctor she'd never talked to or anything opposed to her mentor and long time friends of many years? A few months is not near long enough to erase that long, especially with them having missed their family and having just gotten their hope back, along with the proxies being her family who was not involved at all. Not criticism! I just want to understand the concept because to me, if she broke in the arms of anyone, it would have been her longtime friends and family who came all that way to chase after her.
