Sadly...yes, dogs can get lung cancer. Lymphoma is similar and other types of cancer can also affect the lungs.
@Whylea you have no idea how sad that makes me feel. Can they get lung cancer due to like 2nd hand smoking, ano that probs sounds stupid but that was what I was thinking about when I wrote this
