You must sever the weeds in your life that call into question your self-esteem, and oppress you through diminishing self-worth. You will be put into situations where others may be able to financially oppress you, or where you may have to compete for key resources, your foundations, employment or stability. You may have your values disrespected, with situations arising that force you to make decisive moral decisions and to resist temptations that would diminish your integrity. You will want rest, abundance, comfort and peace of mind, yet life will push you further, demanding that you direct your abundance and desire for material gain in ways that bring you greater freedom rather than oppression.
          
          You must be willing to sever your guilt of overconsumption, of constantly justifying and measuring the accumulation of your resources, otherwise that which you gain will be what you ask for direction, forming idols. Allow Mars to burn away everything that you thought you required in order to live a sustainable, healthy and prosperous life, for that is when the true gifts of this placement will begin to show their sprouts. This is the placement that creates the individual that is able to bring forth roses from scorched earth, you are blessed with the wisdom required to bring fertility back to that which has become barren. In the tending of your garden however you must be discerning, what values have you sown? For what is sure is that everything you value consciously or subconsciously you will directly reap the effects of, and the creation of a paradise requires protection from that which corrupts.

To protect the value of what you have may sometimes require a path that is solitary, or in defiance towards the expectations and influences of others, you will be placed in situations that require you to actively work against forces of deception or psychological warfare, and if you do not protect and value what you possess it will be taken from you. Such are the lessons for the warrior that is tasked with guarding the gate to paradise, the cultivation of that which insulates a healthy mind, body and soul. The result is then a spirit that is tranquil from the assuredness that their strength brings, something like the elephant that roams freely, in recognition of all that it has the capacity to withstand.
            
            You must sever from the idea that to be in pleasure is to be selfish, that there is too much pleasure. In attempting to convince yourself that you have taken too much for your fill, you will subconsciously create greed throughout your life. Instead exalt what your spirit can receive by appreciating everything fully, luxuriating in the abundance of an earth that eternally regenerates under cosmic law. Create an altar through your body, upon which all things are given sacred intention.
