It’s weird to me how black Americans are always expected to share and include everybody when they don’t do they same. Now don’t get me wrong although black history month was created to praise and highlight the achievements of black Americans we chose to include other cultures and ethnicities of black people as well which is amaze because at the the end of the day we all black. But like…. They don’t share their independence days with us so why were we automatically expected to include them in something that’s about us? And no shade or hate cus like I said at the end of the day we all black and deserve to be praised but I feel like black Americans deserve to have something to ourselves because with out us things would be way different

Woww i genuinely didnt know non black americans celebrated black history month as their own I just saw it recently and it does not feel right. I’m not american but im black. I’m Srry that u guys feel like this and its completely understandable so don’t feel alien for ur feelings. It does not feel right to me to be celebrating blm knowing that I nor my ancestors have anything to do with the meaning of blm. It is not my history and it would feel super disrespectful to claim that knowing how important it is. The only way i could see myself celebrating is in support of u guys and celebrating black americans. I also want u guys to know how fk important u are, u have truly helped and supported black people all over the globe. And i believe that if it werent for u the world would have looked so different. It makes me emotional that u don’t get that same support or that u feel like u only have each other, their are still black people outside the US that can not wait to see u succeed. I hope I have explained it good im sorry for the grammar mistakes (english is not my first language).

@tballard234 They genuinely do not respect us and it’s getting worse. Like so much worse! That’s why I’m standing for my people DOWN. I’m sorry, until people start actually respecting us, there will be no unity! It’s over with!
