@youthintheshade hey!! lowkey the recent episodes of otl have just had me going 'bruh' each time to the point I want to drop the webtoon for the inconsistent writing and toxic fandom but also I'm too strung up on the art to let go ;-; hope you're doing well too and a late happy christmas!!

@ellaxxluvsu thank you!!! I honestly think it just takes time to find your own writing voice! I've been writing fanfics since I was twelve - granted they were VERY far from polished but even to this day I'm writing fics where I'm still experimenting with different writing styles. also definitely read a lot, especially the genre you're writing!! that definitely helps over time since you'll subconsciously pick up phrases that are more commonly used, or words that work together, and learn what isn't as common/cohesive. use less adverbs, show more than tell in your descriptions, try to vary sentence length and openers (i.e. not using "he/she/I/you" to begin every sentence which to be honest I'm still falling into the habit of doing but just some starter points!! I saw you've written a fair number of fics too - I'm not really in the anime fandoms, but if you'd ever like me to check out a work briefly I can do that! x
