I am a Third Culture Kid (TCK), a Global Nomad if you will. There are many definitions of a “TCK”, but in my interpretation a TCK is a person who has lived in direct contact with and is directly influenced by several different cultures. To elaborate upon my own story, my parents are from Haiti, I was born near Boston, and I have lived in Haiti, Botswana, South Africa, Rwanda, and the U.S.
I started this as a project as school and wanted to expand it. I created/create fictional stories, spoken words, poems etc that directly relate to TCK situations. The stories range from being about homesickness (but not really knowing where home is), to romantic and familial relationships, to feeling like an outsider in the country you were born in—but in the perspective of international kids who have gone to or are in boarding schools, as well as college students. I received participation from people who follow my instagram page, @tckproblems , and I think it went well, so I decided to begin writing here.
So this wattpad page is to share fictional (but based on real life) tck literature. If you like what you read and want to share, or think you have an anecdote that would be cool to develop, email me at tckproblems@gmail.com.

Thanks for stopping by! *Not all those who wander or lost*
