I was born in New York City, went to college in Oklahoma, and was a combat Marine in Vietnam. After active duty, I became a CIA clandestine operations officer, serving undercover in seven field assignments and in three of the Agency's four directorates. Studying Chinese medicine after retiring from the Agency, I am now a nationally certified and Virginia Medical Board licensed acupuncturist. When not practicing medicine, I practice martial arts, having co-founded a school that teaches kung fu, taijiquan and qigong. I'm married, have two daughters, and enjoy living and working in Northern Virginia.
