the girls are good . they miss you .  ( a little nod as he speaks , lips upturning into a grin at the mention of his daughters .  )   they're real good .

⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ (   after a bit,   rosie would hand over the giraffe as well,   tommy humming.   )       wanna trade?       (   he asks,   and the answer was obvious as they switched stuffed animals.   he’d get a hang of moving it,   pinching the end of one of the animals arms and shaking it,   as if it was waving at rosie.   )

(  rosie would smile at tommy's actions , having one of the other toys walk along with the animal tommy had .  her's was a giraffe , but now that there was a new animal in the picture , she'd go onto to explain more details about this one to him .  brendan kept with playing with emily , but still , kept an eye on tommy and rosie .  he was happy to see the two of them getting along .  )

⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ (   at first,   he’d scoff,   because it would be stupid if two grown men played pretend with a bunch of little girls stuffed animals.   but,   if he doesn’t do so,   he might upset one of the girls.   so,   eventually,   he gets the toy up on its feet and has it waddle aimlessly.   he would listen to rosie as she spoke;   nodding along,   humming,   even responding every once in a while.   )       right,   yeah,   that makes sense.      (   and things similar to that.   )
