This heatwave is getting more and more ridiculous with each passing day. How can people possibly tell me they like hot weather?!?
          
          Our old dog appears to be all right now; we were slightly worried because he had the runs but it it seems to have stopped. Our cat looked as if he had a tear in his ear when I saw him earlier today; I wondered if he had been in a fight against another cat.

          And I've started another new book. I have given it the name "The Song In The Dust;" rest assured it's a Lion Guard story though.
          
          "The Midnight Dinner Matrix" ~ Following a brutal first week at School, Vitani is at The Neon Grid, a 24 hour greasy spoon diner located just past the Industrial Perimetre of the Out Track Railway Yard, her right arm suffering an intense FND tremor flare up from a long day at School. When the Guard arrives, Easton breaks the heavy mood by proudly showing off a valve he has "borrowed" from a vending machine outside, forcing Zuri to loudly lecture him about boundaries, and Aliyah quietly revises a low ~ stress training schedule for Vitani.
          
          "The Dawn Mists Of Big Gulch" ~ In a high ~ walled River Canyon running along the Eastern Border, Vitani persuades Aliyah, Fuli, and Kion to join her in a four ~ person rowing shell. Because rowing requires absolute, blind trust and identical microsecond timing, it is the perfect physical transition. Vitani acts as the pace setter. Kion locks his eyes on her shoulders, matching her rhythmic breathing and movements perfectly. The quiet, repetitive motion of the oars acts as a sensory grounding tool, completely soothing out Vitani's nervous system. 
          
          "The Paint ~ Smudged Sanctuary" ~ Lyla Grunt invites Vitani and Aliyah over to her private Art Studio off campus for a late ~ night tech geek session. She sits on the floor typing codes with paint ~ stained fingers while Aliyah optimises the biomeric timer cuff inside Vitani's clothes. Vitani rests on a giant, paint ~ splattered bean bag chair as Lyla casually tosses different gold and navy blue fabric swatches at her. The peace lasts until Tank Grunt calls his Mother's phone to whine about losing his Master Decryption Drive, which Easton has stolen. Lyla has to make up an excuse while Aliyah quietly copies the data onto a flash drive.

Another swelteringly hot day today; this heatwave is getting beyond ridiculous, and we're actually starting to worry about running out of water.
          
          Our new Alpacas have arrived; there's one black one and three white ones. They're being kept away from the other animals in a separate pen at the moment.
          
          The Zero ~ Hour Grind ~ It's 5:00 A.M. in a private training bunker. Kion is tracking data as Vitani pushes through physical therapy to manage her FND symptoms before a Morning Inspection. She uses the terminal's low ~ frequency vibrations to calm her muscle tremors while Kion maps out daily patrol routes and Security Shifts on his tablet. They have to cut their preparations short when they receive an unexpected early Morning system alert.
          
          Desk Warfare & Ledgers ~ Aliyah Diamond, in the School's Central Archives and Finance Department, reviews the daily supply chain manifests meant for the Sugar Crystals Project. She deliberately buries project expenses inside complex, multi ~ layered Corporate tax codes to hide them from weekly Audits. She filters through School gossip, using her writing skills to draft "official reports" that subtly misdirect inquisitive department leads.
          
          Shutter Speed & Hidden Tech ~ Naomi and Julia collaborate while using Naomi's camera to secretly scan for structural weaknesses, Corporate spies, or unusual energy signatures, under the guise of taking photos for the School's Public Relations Newsletter. Julia monitors Naomi's camera using her hidden gaming console, cross ~ referencing the images with the defensive matrix data from the Sugar Crystals Project. When Naomi sees a Security Drone near their testing zone, she has to use her camera flash to blind its sensors without looking as if she has done it on purpose.
          
          The Debrief & Decompression ~ Late at Night, the Guard gathers to log the day's technical anomalies and financial victories. Aliyah updates her hidden Ledger as Naomi backs up her encrypted photo files onto Julia's Secure Drive. Kion o

          Is three weeks a reasonable amount of time for the Lion Guard to be formed and is two days a reasonable amount of time for the Guard to start training?
          
          The Great Downpour ~ The Sunny Morning instantly shifts into a relentless, freezing January Rainstorm, introducing Kion and Vitani to the concept of non ~ stop horizontal rain. Kion doesn't understand why the sky is "broken," while Vitani views the heavy mud as an insult to her tracking metrics. Nicola tries to comfort them with a massive pot of tea, but clumsily trips over the hearth rug, sending the cups and teapot straight towards Maia's modified server racks. Kion and Vitani have to intercept the cups and teapot mid air while Nicola ends up flat on her back on the floorboards.
          
          The Guardian Protocol ~ at a formal, Corporate Dinner, Kion and Vitani are placed at separate tables by the PR team, where they are interrogated by demanding Board members, causing Vitani's FND to flare, making it impossible for her to hold her glass. Kion notices and deliberately creates a distraction by dropping a tray of glasses to draw every camera and eye in the room to himself, giving Sarabi enough time to slip Vitani out of the room.
          
          Unlocked ~ Right after being awarded an A+ for their work on the Sugar Crystals Project, Vitani and Kion stay behind to reset the holographic War Table to lock down the sectors. With no cameras, suits, or pressure, Vitani simply sits on the Medical Recovery Bench using a heated wrap on her hand. Kion hands her a vitamin ~ infused cocktail, and they share their first genuine, stress ~ free laugh. They are beginning to realise their vulnerabilities haven't made them weak leaders ~ instead, they've become an unbreakable team.

They head to the local Supermarket, resulting in a chaotic clash of Tactical logic and modern Shopping Culture. Kion treats the Supermarket like a high ~ risk perimetre, using hand signals to guide the shopping trolley, while Julia uses her charismatic, multi ~ talented energy to charm the Checkout Staff, as Maia stands by the dairy aisle, using her laptop to execute a price ~ per ~ ounce optimisation script. Nicola gets completely distracted by a display of cakes and books on folklore, accidenally bumping into a massive Tower of baked bean cans. Fortunately, Vitani uses her lightning ~ fast agility to catch every single falling can before they hit the floorboards.
          
          The Wi ~ Fi Crisis ~ Upon moving in, they discover Oak Alcove has completely unstable modern Internet telemetry, making it difficult for Maia to monitor the subterranean tracking sensors. While Kion coordinates a physical sweep of the attic to locate the main telephone entry grid, Julia builds a makeshift booster antenna out of a metallic colander, copper wire, and an old radio receiver.
