Hey, guys.

Just something that's been bothering me a little; is anyone bothered about the fact that I intend to write a few chapters towards the end of my humanised Lion Guard story focusing on a teenage pregnancy? I had planned it this way from the beginning but I am just slightly bothered by this.

Other pregnancy ideas I have been contemplating over the course of the story, mostly told via flashbacks:

Sarabi with Mufasa ~ Obviously with Simba as the result! Maybe Mufasa had something wrong with his body that meant he couldn't father any more children?
Sarabi with Scar ~ Scar knows he needs Mufasa's widow on his side after killing Mufasa, both to give the appearance of a smooth transition to new leadership and to show who's now boss of the Abioye family. [I already have ideas for Sarabi's children with him]
Zira with Scar ~ with Nuka as the result; Scar rejects Nuka as a political protégé and they try again, only to result in twin daughters
Zira with OC ~ Zira's relationship with Scar deteriorates following the perceived failure of Nuka and she hopes a healthy child will get her back in his good graces
Nala with Simba ~ resulting in Kopa, Kiara and Kion
Nala with Scar? ~ This could explain why Nala left in order to join the Rebellion against Scar
Nala with OC? ~ This one's been bothering me because I don't want it to seem as if Nala cheated on Simba, which is something she'd never do in my mind
Vitani with Kion ~ I've already been discussing this one
          	Rani with OC
Kiara with Kovu ~ most likely as young adults
          	Zuri with OC
          	Tiifu with Baliyo
          	Makini with OC
OC with Zazu ~ I already have plans for Zazu's children and why said OC breaks up with Zazu

Does anyone have any plot ideas they'd care to suggest for any of these, or any children that may result? I already have some ideas for the children of the members of the Lion Guard.

@periwinkle172009 From what I understand, if the British King were to die with no heir, it would be Parliament who determined which eligible family member succeeded the throne, or, alternatively, if there were no such candidate, then Parliament would discuss an alternative succession plan or abolish the Monarchy entirely. [my knowledge of British succession laws is very poor]

In the Holy Roman Empire, after the Emperor died, a small body of nobles called the Prince ~ Electors would elect a new Emperor. The Mongols had a system wherein after the Khan died, all the leading nobles returned to Karakorum, the Mongol capital, to elect a new Khan.

Any outfit ideas for Rani and Baliyo? I have been writing a chapter in which Rani learns she's been promised in marriage to the Son of a neighbouring Kingdom, and spends a while musing on her wish to be free from the role of Crown Princess, which she feels trapped in, and another in which she tries out for Kiara's Cheerleading team.

@periwinkle172009 Yes, Rani is in for a rough birth, and yes she will be living away from her parents for the first time in her life, but she was in a position wherein she had to chose between pleasing her parents or losing her children, and the thought of giving up the most precious things in her world ~ her kids ~ is just unacceptable to Rani, even if they're not even born yet, so she had no choice but to leave Tree Kingdom forever.

Her brother and his new bride will also be with her in Pridelands City, as will her Aunt, Uncle, and new other half, so it's not like she'd be entirely alone, and she'll also have plenty of support from her friends at Pridelands High, so she still has a good life to look forwards to with people she loves and who love her in return, and plus she no longer has to worry about being perfect all the time to fit into her people's ideas about what a Queen should be and can just focus on an ordinary life wherein she controls her own destiny.

I've given Rani's boyfriend the name "Khan" so far, which means "Ruler, King," or "Prince" in Turkic, and as a reference to a character from Star Trek, and, as for who the new Tree Kingdom ruler will be, perhaps Vaya, or rather her humanised counterpart? Vaya has kids of her own, is well liked by the commoners, and is an experienced, wise and thoughtful leader, so Rani might recommend her as the new Crown Princess.

Hey, everyone.

Here is the dialogue I have mentioned to you before with missing paragraphs. I invite you, dear readers, to fill in the gaps for me:

*On their way to Class, a passing student deliberately nudges Vitani on the arm*

Vitani: Hey! What was that for?

Kion: Didn't they do that at your old School?

Vitani: No, and what's so funny about it?

Kion: It just means he likes you. He was just being friendly.

Vitani: A funny way of showing it.

Kion: It's kinda mild, compared to some of the goings on I've seen around here.

          Vitani: Such as?

          *Gap*

*Vitani and Kion are walking to their next Class when they run into someone coming the other way*

Ushari: Ooow! Kion, what was that for? You're nearly as bad as Bunga!

Kion: Sorry, Ushari, but we're on our way to our last Class for the day, and we're kinda late.

Ushari: We? *Notices Vitani* Who's the girl?

Kion: Oh, Ushari, this is Vitani. Vitani, this is Ushari.

          Vitani: Hey. *Offers her hand*

Ushari: *Pulls his hand away* Charmed. Now, if you don't mind, I need to get to Class.

          *Ushari hurries away*

Vitani: He's not very friendly, is he?

Kion: He mostly keeps to himself, but he seems to be our personal nemesis...well, Bunga's, anyway.

          Vitani: Why?

          *Gap*

Kion: Vitani, were you scared of Ushari earlier?

          Vitani: Wait, what?

Kion: Did Ushari scare you? I noticed you gasped when he asked who you were.

Vitani: No! I can handle the odd jerk or two if I have to!

Kion: Ushari's a pretty intimidating guy, and you've only just met him, so I wouldn't blame you...

Vitani: *Angrily* Kion, nothing and nobody intimidates me! Got it?

*Kion is both spooked and amused by her outburst*

          Kion: Got it. Yes, ma'am.

Vitani: You'd better. Now, where's this Classroom?

          *Gap*

I'm also going to point you in the direction of @TheLionQueen13, who has just started writing a humanised Lion Guard story of her own. I've read it and it's pretty good reading.

Please let her know it was I who sent you her way.

Hey, guys.

For my story "Rival's Love," is it likely that Rani and Baliyo would probably be foreign exchange students, since neither of them holds Pridelands City citizenship?

I was also wondering if anyone has any ideas for physical descriptions of them, or outfit ideas for the pair, since I have started writing a chapter about them coming to School for the first time and being introduced to their new Classmates.

In terms of personality, I imagine, like in the series, Rani tends to be more serious and studious, while Baliyo can be a bit more fun loving and adventurous and a tad rebellious, and sometimes acts up in order to entertain his Classmates during exceptionally dull lessons, despite regularly earning high marks for his work.

textahoy

@Leopard2pl I had an idea with Rani and Kiara quickly forming a friendship, sharing their feelings of being suffocated by their parents' expectations [Kiara becoming the next Mayor and Rani becoming the new Queen back home], and Rani falls in with Kiara and the other popular girls, eventually gaining a reputation as a skilled dancer as well as one of the best looking and kindest girls in School.

Baliyo, meanwhile, joins Bunga and his gang of pranksters, and, when he meets Vitani and Kion, he very quickly becomes close friends with Vitani, although Kion takes a bit more work before he trusts either Rani or Baliyo again. When it becomes clear Baliyo is in love, Rani assumes he is in love with Vitani, until she brings it up one day during breakfast and Baliyo replies, "What? Vitani? She's a good looking girl and I like being her friend, but that's all she is in my mind. She's not my type, sis. You know that."

Leopard2pl

@ textahoy If Baliyo is more fun, maybe some loose, brigth colors clothing would be fitting like t-shirts, shorts, sneakers even baseball cap (hell yeah, why not?). Little bit stereotypical I know. With Rani I would go with casual clothes (not too loose, not too formal) with subdued colors, maybe jeans, shirt etc. but I'am not entirely sure.

Hey, guys.

For my story "Rival's Love," does anyone have any plot suggestions for Kiara?

So far what I have for her is that she's the reigning Queen Bee of Pridelands High, Captain of the Cheerleading Team, and the envy of every girl crushed after by every boy, in the same way that every girl crushes after Kion and every boy envies him. She's also widely expected to become Mayor of the City after her Father retires from politics, which Kiara really hates because she isn't interested in politics, and already has her own ideas about what career she wants to go into.

Should I give Kiara a scar of her own? Perhaps over or under one eye, or maybe both eyes? In which case, does anyone have any ideas about how she might get them? I was also wondering if anyone has some ideas about improving Kiara's relationship with her brother and parents, perhaps eventually explaining to them about wanting a life of her own choice.

I also imagine Kiara's going to have a thing or two to say when the School's "Handsome Prince" Kion is openly crushing after Zira's daughter, once Vitani's backstory becomes generally known among the students at Pridelands High.

textahoy

@Leopard2pl @Leopard2pl Vitani is someone with a LOT of problems.

Obviously, her main problem is PTSD ~ physical and verbal abuse from Zira and the Outsiders were the main reason why the Pridelanders took her away from Zira and placed her into foster care in Pridelands City, and I'm guessing they found out about her PTSD ~ induced flashbacks and panic attacks later on.

I'm currently writing a chapter about Kiara and her friends coming to the rescue when Vitani experiences a very major freak out [triggered by a panic attack] during Class; what I'm still working on is the sequence of events that lead to said panic attack in the first place.

Aside from that, when she and Kion become an item, she becomes noticeably happier and chattier, and starts to improve her attitude towards her teachers and Classmates, who she can normally be pretty standoffish about if they ask after her mental health, because she doesn't want them to know about her problems.

However, she's much less happy when she finds out that the University she aspires to attend will require her and Kion to wear uniforms, which she has uncomfortable associations with, and she still has a slew of unanswered questions about the whole Zira murdering Kopa and then leaving her to die thing, and this can lead to incidents in which she doesn't seem to like the Pridelanders at all.

Her main hope is that doing well at School [and, if she manages to secure a place, at University] will help gain her the trust of the Pridelanders and prove to them that she's nothing like Zira.
Reply

Leopard2pl

@ textahoy It's sounds good. I like how Vitani's character is developing.
Reply

textahoy

@Leopard2pl I've thought of a possible addition to this particular incident:

Vitani, by this point, is still regarded as a nerd by most of the populars, but she has gained many friends among them for her willingness to help out with their problems and her skills as a sportswoman. She divides her time between School work, her friends and Classmates, and securing a place in University for herself and Kion. [they're planning to share a flat together since the University in question is out of town]

One day, she notices Kiara is in a major huff about something, and when she asks Kiara what is the matter, Kiara avoids the subject and tries to divert her onto something else. This immediately worries Vitani, because normally her problem is getting Kiara off the subject of her home life ~ by this time, Kiara has become one of her "go to" friends who knows everything about Vitani.

Vitani also notices a change of tone in her regular texts and calls with Simba, with whom she is in regular contact to share her University plans because Simba's still concerned over her mental health because she's still experiencing PTSD induced panic attacks and flashbacks, and wonders if Kiara and Simba have got into a fight, which is confirmed when she overhears the Cheer Coach talking about Kiara's situation with another teacher.

Vitani starts to wonder why Kiara and Kion aren't talking to her about it, and, after several days of Kiara, as far as she can work out, refusing to come home, Vitani decides to visit the Abioyes and see if there is anything she can do to try and resolve the situation.

Hey, guys.

I've just started writing a chapter featuring a humanised version of Hadithi the Eagle from the Lion Guard episode "Ono's Idol," and what happens when he starts working at Pridelands High, although I haven't decided yet what subject he'll be teaching, since we've already established Makuu as the perpetually grumpy gym teacher, and Zazu as the geography teacher.

Does anyone have any potential tall stories that Hadithi could tell to the students before someone [most probably Ono] catches him out in a lie? I was also wondering if anyone has ideas for a physical description of him.

I was also wondering if anyone would be interested in a series of chapters focusing on a prank war between Vitani and her three main bullies, which ends only after someone [most likely Vitani herself] gets injured and the teachers intervene.

textahoy

@Sunlow4lyf @Sunlow4lyf Perhaps Hadithi could float between Moral Philosophy [ironically!] and assisting Makuu and Zazu until students start to complain that Hadithi is more interested in his personal appearance than the subjects he's supposed to be teaching?

I had an idea of Hadithi setting up a martial arts club on his own initiative when he arrives, which really excites Vitani because, if there's one thing she loves, it's showing off her martial arts talents.

Hey, guys.

I've finally started writing a chapter based on an episode of The Lion Guard ~ more specifically, The Travelling Baboon Show from series 2. However, I'm going to have to change one or two things: no Roar of The Elders in this story, for a start, so there's no way the Pridelanders would allow powerless teens into the Outlands, and having to write Vitani into the chapter as well ['cause, you know, this story's sorta all about her].

Has anyone got any ideas as to how the chapter could go? How closely should I follow The Travelling Baboon Show's plot [bear in mind it's been a while since I watched the episode] and what should probably be changed?

Garfieldlover22

I don’t see the dialogue on my profile. R u sure u sent it?

textahoy

@Garfieldlover22 Well I envisioned Kion starting off giving specific compliments on her physical appearance, since Maric was insulting her over her homely appearance, and then complimenting her personality traits later in the conversation.

Kion's starting to care about her as a person, and is at a point wherein he is beginning to realise Vitani is rather different from the Cheerleaders and rich girls who usually swoon over him the minute he walks into a room, and he also appreciates having a girl who just treats him normally rather than automatically attempting to flirt with him over his family's wealth or that he is good looking. [Kion's also a huge fan of the Pridelands Lions, despite regularly having to deal with complaints about U ~ Go playing girls, and secretly hopes to try out for the team if he can, or the soccer team if he can't join them; Kion is a very skilled Soccer and Football player]

He's also starting to suspect that there is something going on in her personal life that is preventing her from opening up fully to him or to other students, but he has decided not to ask her about it in case he accidentally pushes her away or something. He probably assumes it's something to do with a boyfriend or trouble at home since he doesn't know if she's in a relationship or not.

Yes, that could probably be made to work, depending on how many people are involved in this mugging; if it was just one I reckon I could stand my ground, but if it were a gang of them then, personally, I'd run away pretty quick. Do you have any ideas for such a chapter?

I do have some ideas for the person who took Maric's place after he got kicked out of the Pridelands Lions, by the way, if you're interested, as well as for U ~ Go and a couple of other people in The Lions.

@Garfieldlover22 I am still getting ideas for new chapters for my Lion Guard AU; the most recent has Zira remembering her personal past after arguing with her sister over Zira's harsh leadership of her Army, and Sarabi catching a glimpse of someone she remembers from her childhood while enjoying a day out with Vitani and Zuri. [Sarabi remained in touch with Vitani and her new family after Tama adopted her.]

We've been having fun and games setting up a new PS5 we bought because my old PS4 had stopped ejecting discs, and our cat and dog have also been keeping us entertained in their own ways.

I've also sent you some Kion/Vitani dialogue I could use some help completing over on your profile, as well as some ideas for the three Outsider siblings, Nuka, Kovu and Vitani herself.

Hi, guys, again.

I'm posting because something's just occured to me:

My personal little headcanon for my Lion Guard AU currently holds that Zira and Scar both served in the military during the time of the First Gulf War waaaay back in 1990 [I placed Simba's birth in 1994, the year the original TLK film came out] and Zira was invalided out of the army after she survived a shell attack on a Command Post but with severe injuries in her legs.

Would it make sense if she and Scar either met while in High School, or perhaps while they were still Army Cadets, in which Scar's rapid rise through the ranks could have had an effect on the impressionable, younger Zira, or might they have met some other way?

I was also wondering if anyone has any ideas regarding Zira's age at the time the story takes place; Simba, in this AU, is about 19 when he returns to the Pridelands after 11 years in the Backlands with Timon and Pumbaa, and 24 years old when he meets the 5 year old Vitani following the fatal car crash which killed Kopa, assuming Vitani and Kovu were both born around the time of Scar's death.

P.S: I'm also starting to get ideas for romantic subplots concerning Sarabi, Simba's Mother, and Tama, Zuri's Mother, by the way.

Hey, guys.

I'm just posting up some thoughts I've recently had regarding my human Lion Guard story:

Since I envisioned them as first year students starting their first week of High School, does it make sense that, during lessons, the teachers would explain their expectations of the whole Class [patterns of behaviour, what they will learn, etc.] and maybe try and get to know the newer students as people in order to better understand their individual needs?

I was also wondering if anyone has any names for Zira's individual family members and a physical description for them, since I envisioned Zira having two siblings [one male and one female] in this timeline, one of whom she doesn't talk about as he left the Pridelands many years ago in order to pursue his dream of becoming an explorer.

I was also wondering if anyone has some ideas as to how Zira met Sarafina and Sarabi, since I was contemplating a chapter in which Zira remembers being present at the births of both Nala and Simba.

I hope you've been enjoying how I portrayed the TLK/G characters; I was concerned I might have made Vitani a bit too girly for some of you, but I think it's reasonable to assume she'd behave differently to the normal TLK universe after 11 years living with the Pridelanders and in a much more loving household. I decided to give her a scar in this story because, well, why not? After all, Kion gained a scar in series three, so why shouldn't she have one too?
