I've found I have a unique, almost dark at some points, style of writing that is vastly different from the people in my life. Sometimes it's hard to share my work with them without feeling like what I wrote is "weird" or just terrible. I mostly write poetry but on occasion I'll get the inspiration to write a short story of start a novel. Although I've never been good with finishing those sorts of things; I guess I work in short bursts of inspiration.
