There is a glitch in my calendar. Today we light a candle for his birth; in two weeks, we light one for his absence. My own birthday sits somewhere in the middle, feeling like an uninvited guest. I don’t want to celebrate a month that holds so much grief. Can we just strike February from the record this year?

I’m in the middle of a life-audit I didn't realize would take this much out of me. I've cleared the space, but now I’m just... tired. Is it too early to need a vacation from January?
nope. take as much vacation as you need. some of us started the year tired and already exhausted. you can have your fresh start by Feb or any month you wanna come back.
