Hello! I read your story "Silver Lining" once when I was 16, and again just now at 22. I always loved The Host, more for its sci-fi elements as opposed to its romance evidence. I also really loved your story and the world building you added, that makes the world of the Host just so much more interesting. Although i am by all means more of a reader than a writer, I just wrote my own short story set in the Host.
