          	  I love Edgar Allan Poe because I feel that he lived what he wrote. The description is so vivid, so hauntingly beautiful, that he must have imagined the events recorded with excruciating intricacy. I personally find that to be a remarkable skill. I also praised the careful structure of the adventures of his detective, C.Auguste Dupin. I also, I do confess, have a certain weakness for the darkness and the clarity of the short stories and poems. My personal favourite poem in the world is The Raven by Poe, for the beauty, yes, but also for the wonderful, unique rhythm. ~VC
