I know it’s become cringe (and thank god) now when you see the male love interest tell his lover to call him daddy in fanfics but am I the only one who feels like the concept is genuinely predatory ? Maybe they don’t mean it when they put it in and prob cuz it was a trend but whenever I would see it in fics, I’d have to stop reading straight away cuz it throws me off. It’s like the whole Lolita book adaptions all over again. I get that we have our preferences, like I won’t deny, I love a good older man loving me trope but the minute this kind of use of word (“daddy”), I get really disturbed. The same goes for the whole mommy thing.
Maybe I’m just reading into this too much now cuz we’ve all changed but it’s something I think about every now and then and how very weird and disturbing it is that it was normalized back then.
Also, it was 2020, so like…
MISFORTUNE New chapter coming out soon btw, sorry for the wait and the ramble

@ the_neighbour_simp I agree, the whole concept is weird and it turns the couple's dynamic to something uneasy. I mean, if you want your partner to be more dominant, good for you, but I really don't want to think of my parental figure in this context.
