I am a Zutara shipper and I have a theory. In LoK if Zuko and Katara had had Bumi, Tenzin, and Kya they would keep there elements. Obviously Tenzin's wouldn't be air but fire. And my theory about Jimi is that he wouldn't gain fire bending he would gain fire/water bending combined.
