Honestly, for the first time in such a long time my writing has felt less laborious and more like having a conversation with good friends. We’ve been waiting for times like these hehe x

writing tip #001: character development

What I've realized myself is that I am absolute shite at writing plot-based stories. I've tried my hand, but there will always be too many plot holes that I didn't see too many questions unanswered that I don't know; however, give me a character and I will dream you up and entire Wikipedia-style backstory that would put Elizabeth Taylor to shame.

It might sound silly, but if you're struggling with creating a character start at the verrryy beginning: Their date of birth!

This way you can use their horoscope as the foundation of your character development. A place to build off of. Thus, you'll gain a general idea of who this person is; how they behave; how they love; how they feel, and how they express themselves. Then, you build off of that!

Hi, my name is Haig Moses. Like many here, I am a writer and author who came to this platform solely to share my work with you!

Recently, in the midst of my pursuit of being traditionally published, I completely lost sight of why I started writing. Of course, we all would like to make this arduous creative hobby into our full time job (that's the ultimate dream, no?) But writing, for me, has always been about simply sharing the worlds I build inside my head with as many people as I possible can. Not locked up on my computer and viewed only by friends and family and the agents who robotically reject me.

Thus, I am getting back to the basics, baby!

Here, I'm going to be opening up my creative world to you! And hopefully you enjoy the stories and literary pursuits I share, but most importantly I hope the tips and tricks that I've learned along the way (which I'll be posting on this conversation board) are beneficial to your own writing journey.

Thank you for coming on this strange and delightful and creatively harrowing odyssey with me! Please remember to be kind and always know that I am open to thoughts and suggestions that are constructive.

          Love you x
