Others: Listen to music to cope with stress
My parents: *took my music, speakers and everything related to music away so that I can “study” but then restricting these made me fail in class worse than before*

@yurluvgin_ yeah.. at this point I'm just setting strict boundaries whether they like it or not and start earning myself money when I turn 18 and get out of the house with my little sister.

Parents: We’re not trying to blame you. We’re trying to gently guide you.
Also parents: *proceeds to talk negatively and harshly and triggers my anxiety and my regret for quitting my piano when I was 6 because I was scared of exams and they said it’s because I was lazy. I was lazy so I was scared.*
What do these parents think? We are humans. We also have regrets like adults have regret over stupid financial things that you could’ve easily avoided. Stop triggering it.
At least stop that snake talk coming out of your mouth.
Just because we’re “kids” doesn’t mean we don’t have feelings.
Somebody help me out here. How do I manage my emotions and hurt their heart with words just like they do to me? Like, I want them to get the taste of their own medicine but without feeling guilty. They sort of like, deserve to hear it.

@yurluvgin_ ikr!!! And the worst part is we can't change them even if we try to help them. Like, we think they can leave their ego alone but they can never change. They would never accept it.
