Still alive lmfao. I ended up starting two different fanfiction over on AO3 and decided to allow myself to sit back and just relax with writing non-serious things for a while. I've never really written fanfiction before because I thought it was silly, but turns out it's actually pretty fun. I also got the chance to develop my writing style a lot more, and in my opinion, in a much better way. Overall a good experience for my writing skills, creative flow, and pacing practice. I also am changing The Custodian's Artifacts to past tense—I've found through writing the other fanfics that I greatly enjoy writing in past tense, moreso than present. It works better with my style. So yeah, hence TCA being "under construction". I'm gonna go back through the chapters and change all dialogue/actions/etc to past tense to fit my new vibe before I continue writing on it.

The Terrible Execution of A Good Idea: a memo lol
          I know that not all of you who follow my profile read The Custodian's Artifacts, but, I know a couple do so I'm just seeing to them getting the announcement. 
          
          For those few who do read, I'm regretfully informing that the story is officially discontinued. But it's not all doom and gloom; and it's certainly not over. This was, I suppose, the technical "first draft" of the story, so it's not surprising. But, this story is frankly very disappointing in my standards. 
          
          The role of the characters is not how I envisioned it to be. The pacing is /too/ slow for what I was going for. The setting is all wrong. The tone doesn't feel how I wanted it to, and the storyline needs formal fleshing-out before I can continue confidently. All in all, pretty much every aspect of this story in particular is just plain mediocre, in my opinion. I really want to retry this. I think I'm going to take this version of The Custodian's Artifacts off of Wattpad and spending some time off the site to reflect and get to working on the newer version. I think it's gonna come back bigger and better than it was before- the concept deserves a better chance to me. I'm actually excited to rewrite it. I haven't felt inspired or happy with any of my work since around the chapter 10 or something, so I'm going to change that. 
          
          Well, this was long enough lol. This is like...a wall of text, but, to close this out, I'd just like to say that, to those who /do/ read and or enjoy this story, stay tuned so that you may come back and see the newer version. :) 
          
          27 chapters, 40,000 words, and 3 months of work is a lot. For me, at least. It might take a while to get back to where I was, but, all in good time. I'm planning on really taking my time with everything this go around. 
          
          In conclusion, thanks to those few who followed The Custodian's Artifacts up until now! I will be back!
