@thebolterr exactly!! I thought it was the perfect way to tie up the story, especially for those that have been there since the early days. I don't understand the hate it's getting online. like it was reminiscent of 80s adventure movies (like the goonies, which the show has been like since S1) where the characters got their happy endings (in a roundabout way yk). not every finale has to be a big bloody battle with like 50 main character deaths

opinion on byler, no season 5 spoilers 
          
          as sweet as byler would be, i believe that it makes NO sense to happen. my reason being that; 1) they are not gonna make new relationships occur in the battle for the end of the world, just won’t happen. 2) mike’s main trait is loyalty. dustin is the brains, will is the victim/catalyst, lucas in the fighter, and mike is the loyal one. we see this in season one in the search for will, season two with el, and many many other times. he is the loyal friend, loyal boyfriend. so WHY on earth would they take his one trait that he is most known for and flush it down the toilet by having him get with his girl friends brother? 
          
          that being said, i could see byler in the epilogue, if el dies and will doesn’t. but that means we skip over EVERYTHING important for that to happen- so i really don’t see it.
