ANNOUNCEMENT — We hit 1,000,000 reads + Q&A is LIVE 
          	
          	I’m sitting here a little stunned and a lot emotional because… we did it. Offside Hearts just crossed one million reads. When I posted the first chapter I hoped a handful of people might care. Instead, y'all showed up, screamed with me, roasted my characters and turned this messy story into a home. Thank you for every comment, vote, DM, theory, meme and late-night “update pls.” You made this book bigger and braver than I imagined.
          	
          	I also want to say I’m sorry for disappearing for a bit,  some of you know it was because of my heart. I needed time to feel okay again and I’m so much better now (for real). To celebrate, I’m dropping something you’ve been asking for: the Post-Epilogue Group Q&A is officially LIVE. It’s chaotic, a little unhinged and somehow still wholesome.
          	
          	What’s next? I’ve started writing the second epilogue (because apparently I can’t stop giving these idiots closure) and I need your help choosing the direction of the next book. Check the poll at the end of the Q&A and tell me!!

          That story had me laughing, crying, smiling, everything. The words, the humor, (the soda scene was iconic ofc)
          
          Those characters are some I can't let go just yet and I need to reread it because I love it too much

          How did you get your story to go viral? Like what are your writing techniques?
          
          I am really bad at writing, and I wanted to know how you got the words to emphasize what the characters, plot, etc was saying

@thebookworm_meg I am reading Offside Hearts over on Inkitt and absolutely love it. The characters have absolutely stolen my heart. It's such a good book. I hope you self publish it one day.

            I think I have been, holding back on my emotions and honesty throughout the story. I think that I put too much pressure into making it perfect, it falls apart. A bit like pottery actually!
            
            You try to make your pot perfect, and when you try to hard, the clay gets mashed up again!
            
            I think I'll try going easy, and putting my words into honesty.

            That’s not an odd question at all! Honestly, a big part of it was just luck tbh :) Offside hearts ended up being #1 in canada for a few weeks, which still feels unreal. But what really helped was staying consistent and having fun with it. I wrote it because i loved the story, not because i expected anything from it.
            
            Also, I think readers connect when you write honestly, when you let the emotions sound a little messy or real instead of perfect. And don’t say you’re bad at writing!!! You’re just finding your voice and that takes time. The more you write, the more it starts to click.

Hi Méganne! So I know you probably aren't considering it, but after the point you finish your other stories, will you ever make an Offside Hearts sequel?

@louines689 this honestly means the world to me. Offside Hearts will always have such a big piece of my heart and while I don’t have a sequel planned right now… never say never :) Those characters still live in my head and I could definitely see myself coming back to them one day.
