Atropos is genuinely one of the best ff i‘ve read. I am a reall picky reader and you habe met all my expectations and more!!
I loved the character and world building you‘ve done, it feels so genuine and not forced. The plot is so interesting it has me wondering all day.
I loved all your OC‘s and their relationship to Ottilie.
Ottilie felt like a real person, not just a character in a story with the way you wrote her feelings and thoughts.
I also loved that despite the romance being a slow buen it didnt feel slow at all, it made total sense. It didnt feel forced or rushed between her and George.

I truly lovee this story and am looking forward for future chapters!!

Alright author, thank you so much. I've read Modification, and it was indeed one good piece! I'm glad we have pretty much the same taste when it comes to tom ♡

@Mouliciousss thank you so much for such a kind message!!

as far as recommendations go for stories i got inspiration from, i started writing the moon is no door and had most of it planned all the way back in 2016, and at the time, many of the tom riddle fics i was reading were on ff.net and ao3. it was so long ago i can’t really remember many of them well enough to find them again, or it's possible some of them have been since deleted. as far as tom riddle books i like on wattpad, you already have most of what i would have mentioned in your reading lists already. however, the one that probably would have had the most impact on my story would be Modification by EmilytheHorcrux, as it was the one i read closest to when i was first starting to get a handle on the characters and the plot

Okay, I can't stop thinking about the moon is no door. And this is my third message so you can understand the massive impact that it's had on me. I completed it seconds ago and I can't help but feel wistfull now that it's over. I can assure you that it will live in my head and heart rent-free from now onwards. Your writing is outstanding and extremely commendable. I would've given you a standing ovation if I could. And I'm at such a loss of words seriously. Words cannot describe the fulfilment I'm feeling at this moment. You truly are one incredible writer. Keep up the 'mind blowing' work.

I have a question

Which of them from the Mardurus era do you see Ottilie in the most? (I’m sorry if it doesn't make sense)

thecanismajoris

@EliciaBjllstedt i realize i'm answering this super late, sorry about that.

i don't know if i would consider ottilie very much like any of the maurader's era characters, but if i had to say, maybe a mix of remus and snape? she's the quieter, more cerebral counterpart to a pair of outgoing, gryffindor troublemakers like remus was. on the other hand, she really doesn't have any of remus's people-pleasing tendencies, which is where she's a little more like snape (very intellectually curious, but sardonic and generally anti-social)

hey hey!! i’m reading atropos right now—i’m only around chapter 22—and i just had a quick question. you do a lot of world building and i was wondering if you got some of it from hogwarts legacy? you’ve also mentioned ancient magic in the story but it’s only been a few times so far. but yeah i guess i just found it interesting that you pointed out details about the castle that are only seen in the game (as opposed to being seen in the movies). either way i think the story is really great so far and i’m happy that you focus a lot more on building otillie’s character rather than getting straight into any type of relationship she’d have with george. can’t wait to keep reading!

one example i can think of is the trolls in tutus painting that was mentioned when ottilie first discovered the room of requirement. i don’t remember seeing it in the movies (i might be mistaken though—i personally don’t remember seeing it), it honestly is probably somewhere in the wiki, but i’ve played hogwarts legacy so much and travelled through those confusing hallways enough to remember seeing the painting. there were a few other example that got me thinking, but the troll painting was the most prominent one.

about the ancient magic; hogwarts legacy’s plot is basically based around a type of magic called ‘ancient magic’ that only the mc you play as can see and use. i guess it was just a coincidence that you use it in atropos, and ‘ancient’ is a term anyone could come up with lol.

anyways, i adore your writing and attention to detail. from developing otillie’s character to the world building, your story is one of the most enticing and unique pieces of writing i’ve read in a while!

@faiyze hi! i've never played hogwarts legacy, and i don't know much about it. references to ancient magic in atropos come from mostly my own ideas, but are also influenced by the hp books. although, i am curious about the details about the castle that i've written but that are only seen in the game in canon. could you give me an example? i use HP wiki to reference sometimes, so it's definitely possible i got something from there that was in hogwarts legacy and i didn't realize.

either way, thanks for reading!! and i'm happy you're enjoying atropos!!

Just wanted to say that Of Constellations is my all time fave comfort book, if you have no plans of updating could you give us an overview of where you wanted to take it/what happened to Theo and why he didn’t return right after the battle
