Persephone , also called kore , was the daughter of zeus and demeter and was a vegetation goddess . When she married hades , she became queen of the underworld . Persephone would leave to visit hades in the autumn , and her return would mark the beginning of the springtime .


❛ She who walks the floors of hell finds the key to the gates of her own heaven, buried there like a seed ❜ .
