all rise fanfics kinda suck but my favorite line out of all the ones i’ve read was where mark told lola “i’m starting to think that we’re the problem.” (referring to their incredibly messy romantic relationships) and she said, “we’re definitely not the problem. we’re amazing” which is just. i love them both but they literally are LMFAO.

nahhh you know whats weird? shipping lola and mark even tho lola’s happily married to robin, has a kid with him, etc etc, and canonically mark’s ENGAGED?? and at one point dated (and it was implied that he had a serious relationship with) her best friend?? they’ve been friends for ten years guys i think if something were to happen between them it would’ve happened by now ☠️

ALSO IF YOU THINK EMILY IS A BAD PERSON GTFO. she’s not exempt from criticism, hell, none of the characters are, but i’m reallyyyyy leery abt fandom opinions of her. especially reguarding her relationship with luke. no, she wasn’t always gracious with him, but she WAS always honest. she never “lead him on.” she’s one of the best damn characters on the show bc of her journey of self discovery - which was achieved both with an amazing support system and work she put in to make herself happy and mentally healthy again after surviving an abusive relationship. if you’re going to water that down to how she gets during cases that hit home you can’t consume media critically at ALL. and if we’re talking luke and emily, ppl act like he was forced to be her boyfriend. if he didn’t want to accommodate her needs and couldn’t take being an understanding partner, he would’ve moved on, and he didn’t, he loves her and gets that she needs time apart even tho she still wants to be with him. anyways i’ll always defend her
