Hi friends!

So it's been quite the month— I injured my eye pretty bad about a week ago and haven't been able to do much of anything, but I'm feeling and seeing a lot better now, so hopefully this means I'll be able to get back to working on my projects and books I'm reading (:

I hope anyone who's reading this has had a luckier year than I have lmao

          	astoria <3

@theforestgreene that’s good to hear! I’ve been reading your book and some of these characters piss me off, but I love the way your story is going. The pacing is really great, I love how it starts off slow and it’s building up really well.

@LxgendGxmer Aw thanks Eric! I'm doing a lot better now (: Catching up on Shadows of betrayal tommorow :D

Really didn't feel like doing this today but since people want to come on my page and call me the n-word and other racist and homophobic slurs, here's some educational resources, as promised <3

I'll say it again, if you try to spread hate on my page, you're just going to get blocked and reported, and then I'm going to share MORE information about places like Palestine, Congo, Sudan, as well as resources on how people can stay safe if you're a part of marginalized group, LGBTQ persons and women especially. So if you're committed to being hateful, I promise this isn't the page to do it on. Go read something. Get educated. Or better yet, donate to a good cause!

A friend of mine is organizing a fundraiser to for Sudanese women impacted by violence and displacement in the region. This has driving countless women and girls to escape dangerous areas, many now need support, shelter, and basic supplies to survive.

This fundraiser will provide Sudanese women who have escaped the RSF brutality with:

          - Essential hygiene kits with sanitary pads and toiletries.
          - Safe spaces and temporary shelter.
          - Food and water supplies to families who have lost access to basic resources.

PLEASE DONATE HERE AND SHARE: https://gofund.me/22e7b5a4

          all love,
          Astoria <3

Ignorance is not cute, it's very embarrassing. Ya hate to see it lmao

@theforestgreene I will read ‘The Toasting | A Short Story,’ and ‘Greener | A Collection of Poems,’ providing feedback on each.

Hello,

I know it was a while ago since we exchanged stories, but if you’re still interested in R4R and V4V, I did my part for the moment.
I’ll appreciate an answer considering it.

          Have a great day/night! :>

theforestgreene

Hi Georgiana, I haven't had much energy for reading these days but I'd be glad to still vote if you're alright with that. Hopefully I can come back to the story some day or check out your new book <3

Hi friends

I've been dealing with some personal issues and mental health stuff so I haven't been able to do much, but I'm hoping to get back to reading and posting soon. This weekend I'm going to try responding to comments and catching up on my R4R's, I promise I haven't forgotten anyone <3

!!! IMPORTANT !!!

Al Jazeera has released a free, feature-length documentary on Gaza and the ongoing genocide. I beg you all to watch it, share it, and support on Youtube.

The death toll in Gaza has hovered at 40,000 since January of this year— understand that this number is staggeringly inaccurate, it's a result of deliberate destruction of Gaza's ministry of Health— the Lancet journal projects the REAL number to be over 186,000, with other journalists projecting the number to be greater than 300,000 lives more recently. And as Israel expands its attacks into neighboring countries like Lebanon and Syria, it is more important than ever to be speaking up and paying attention. It is never too late to begin speaking up.

I live in America in a region which is currently being devastated by natural disasters— hurricane Helene has swept whole towns away, people are stranded and dying in their flooded homes. Understand that climate change and governmental neglect is a DIRECT RESULT of what is happening in the Levant.

We could very well be on the brink of the next World War. Some are even claiming we're already in it, and perhaps in a way we are. I don't think those semantics matter much honestly. People are suffering and people are dying and our time on this planet is limited. Please speak up. Be aware of what is going on and know the ways you can help.

@theforestgreene yes to this. I usually like a balance of donating to both reputable organizations and families/individuals. It is nerve-wracking but what happens in Gaza is unprecedented, so our responses should be so too. Chinese people have a saying "Save one life is more important/valuable than building seven towers/temples." So yes.
