hi please take some of your time out of your day to read this, because if you can harass and spam an author with 40+ notifications asking them to update, you can read this. 
          
          do not do that. it is the authors choice whether or not they want to update or not, and spamming them will just cause them to spite the fuckin bullshit outta you. you have to respect that good work takes time and effort to produce, and people can’t mass produce writing just because one person wanted them to update. you never know if someone’s going through something or maybe they’ve left wattpad. 
          
          another thing is that writing is a hobby on wattpad. people don’t devote their entire life and 24 hours of their day into writing chapters. they do it because they enjoy it. spamming them to update takes a toll on their image of how they should update and overworks them to the point where their writing will not be as good as before, and will therein become worse, causing them to hypothetically and potentially take a break from writing. readers pestering them also takes the enjoyment out of writing. writing is a way of putting intangible things such as ideas into words to paint a picture for others to enjoy happily. not to put pressure on someone. 
          
          lastly, if you are to be disrespectful in a fandom where everyone is trying to get along, you can leave. it’s harsh, but this is a community, not a crazed fangirl/fanboy/fanthey arena.
