Hello to all!

I live with my wife, two children, and two dogs on Australia's east coast. An off-grid micro-hydro and solar power system produce our household energy.

The Hero Gene is my first novel. My passion for nature and space and heroic battles combined with concerns for the environment fuels my writing.

While working with renewable energy has been the focus of my career, my thirst for adventure has led me to sail across oceans and work as a scuba instructor on the Great Barrier Reef. I sold the renewable energy company I founded to begin a live-aboard sailing adventure with my family and focus on writing. I'm also a director on OzGREEN's board and work on their flagship program, Youth Leading the World.

Despite the ever-increasing demands humanity places upon the environment, I remain positive that we will rise to the challenges of minimising global warming and conserving nature for future generations. I'm inspired by today's student activist movement and believe that they have the power to bring about positive change.
