There’s a dagger in my heart,
And it burns in my soul.
If I take it out now,
I’ll bleed on people, who didn’t hurt me.
It has to stay there,
For now.
It’s okay to feel the way I do.
I need to slow the bleeding first,
And find help.
But the dagger has to stay,
For now.
It’s okay to feel the way I do.
The feelings need to rage,
Until the storm passes by.
Only then, can the dagger go,
But the wound will remain.
The deep healing begins,
A very long road.
I must walk this path,
So long as I’m not alone.
There’s a dagger in my heart,
And it burns in my soul.
