Growing up, I always wanted to be a veterinarian. Somewhere along the way that changed to a marine biologist, then a dog trainer, then a scientist. Then one day I sat down and started writing, and the idea of being an novelist never quite faded like the others. Of course, I have worked a myriad of jobs and done a number of strange hobbies, such as: retail (books, office supplies, jewelry - you name it, I've probably done it), bookbinding, food service, martial arts, veterinary assistant (it's an emotionally tough job since animals are the greatest thing gifted to this earth but also fun because puppies), seamstress, video gamer, avid reader, and about a million other things.
In recent years I've completed my master's and now work as a Speech Language Pathologist with the elderly population during the day, spending my evenings daydreaming of traveling the world and writing about fantastic fantasies that I will never be able to experience.
Oh well. That's what books are for, right?
