I'm very disheartened to have to post this but please, please do NOT plagiarize "The Smell of Old Books". This fanfiction is something that I spent months working on; a piece of work that I was able to meet my best friend through. By plagiarizing this work, you are not only infringing on my intellecutal properties, you are also discrediting the months and hours that it took to bring you that fanfiction. Despite the fanfiction being discontinued a year ago, I sadly have to say that plagiarism will immediately be taken down and I will have no respect for you. Ever. With that being said, I have never given permission to anyone to continue writing the Smell of Old Books. As it is a fic that is deeply personal to me, the only people I can see continuing it are me or my friend - both of us are not in the fandom anymore. If you'd like to write a fic based on TSOOB, that's fine. Go for it! But, don't plagiarize and please do not continue the fic. The fic is at a place where it can be read, enjoyed, and then theorized on by my readers and the only person that I believe should ever properly finish it, if ever, is by me. I apologize for the heavy sounding post but I am frustrated by my work being plagiarized. (If I do ever give credit to someone to repost my work on another website that isn't Wattpad, DeviantArt, ArchiveOfOurOwn, or Fanfiction.Net, I will have that person have a warning saying that this is my work.) Please don't plagiarize, guys. You're really disrespecting the author. And thanks to all of you who notified me and asked me about all this stuff. You're all wonderful; it's just sad I have to put my "angry voice" on towards some people who really did urk me. (Also, no harm goes against wanting to finish the TSOOB. It's flattering, really, that you feel like it was good enough to want to finish. It's more of an egotistical thing, which I hope you guys respect.)

hey all. please be aware that the smell of old books wasn't copied from deviantart or any other website such as that. this story is my own and every account on any website that has the name "icyleaves", "ribbonedskies", or "thelittleglaceon" is an account that i, myself, own. thank you for being on it in case anyone has copied but i posted on a lot of different websites to prevent that from occurring.

@_Pugalicous (it's taken me so long to write this im sorryy) thank you so much! i honestly don't feel as if my writing is up to par where i'd like it to be, especially given the kind of confusing plotline of old books storyline but this comment really made me smile. please keep writing even if you're not confident in it because that's the only way to get better. good luck on your future endeavors with literature! <(^-^<)
