Hey guys, happy new year! Just want to let you know that updates for the fanfic are really going to be slow because I have some unfortunate news.
Recently, my original story, The Silent Heir, is on track to be polished and so I decided to figure out what to do next when I saw it. Now I may be overreacting but man did it put a huge damper on my mood. It appears that if I wanted to publish, the story must not be posted in free reading sites like wattpad because publishers would want to have exclusivity and all. The chances of getting publisher to pick it after doing so, if from what I've read is accurate, is really low.
It has been advised to simply take down my story from online like wattpad before quering agents if they are interested in my final manuscript... I am at a total lost. I'm not sure if I had just wasted 4 years of my life for nothing or I am just mistaken. In the event I had to take it down to have a shot, I just want to let you all know, my original readers of the story, to give it one last go if you want to because I cannot guarantee it will stay at all.
So sorry for this news, especially on new year's but I simply don't know what to do and want to brace myself and you guys before I do take that route.
If anyone has any insight or ideas on publishing in these kinds of scenario, I would greatly appreciate the help.

@thelolp777 I've been looking i to traditional publishing and I discovered the same thing. You haven't wasted the past four years. Your story can still get an agent. You just need to change the story a bit, and get a different title when querying. That will be better
