Are these new chapter announcements too gratuitous? Who knows, man. Anyways, I just published the next part. It was, ummmm, a few more days than I said in the last post. I will at least partially blame it on the lil autoimmune disease I have giving me the big tireds. Even now, I write to you from a place of deep desire to just lay back down. Also, a place of the public library near my house because I find it easier to focus there.
As far as progress towards the end of the book goes, I had at one point figured it would take me like 15 more sections from where I am now, which is both a lot (especially at my current writing pace) and not very much (skydiving is all good and fun until you have to land). I do usually have the tendency to longer than shorter so expect that number to be overshot, but, killing no darlings, that gives you an idea of where we are.
Though speaking of darlings, I am toying with incorporating a scene or two of a school dance. Not just because it's a high school story and it's required, but because I think it would be fun for advancements of the quasi love triangle that exists between Wyatt, Mariah and Amy.
In more inspiring news, I heard a quote recently that you can't have a bad first draft because all your first draft has to be is done. And dang, I find that inspiring. While I definitely don't actually show you guys my rough drafts (because I actually want people to read these), I do like the idea being finished and imperfect is better than unfished.
