In the process of writing the next chapter of Next Door. Here's a little preview;
The sun shining through the window in my bedroom woke me up the next morning. Apparently I had not bothered to close the curtains. When I opened my eyes, I realized why. There he was, propped up on his elbow, looking at me. A blush automatically formed on my face from the way he was watching me.
“Morning,” he smiled down at me.
“Hi,” my voice was like a whisper, but the smile on my face told him enough. “You’re still here,” I joked, winking at him.
He chuckled. “You’re stuck with me now, you know.”
“Well, that’s too bad,” I pretended to pout, pulling my blanket tighter around my body. “I was planning on kicking you out as soon as I could.”
“It’s your own fault,” he shrugged.
“Is it?” I looked at him through my lashes, suppressing a giggle.
“You’re the one who fell in love with this dork, so yeah,” he laughed. He lifted his head from his hand but instead of rolling onto his back like I expected him to, he laid down on his side and came closer to me, wrapping his other arm around my waist through the blanket.
“Well, you seem to know more about that than I do,” I teased while scooting closer to him.
“Or, you know, you made this dork fall in love with you,” he pretended to look away. “There’s not really a difference.”
I couldn’t stop myself from smiling and before I knew it, I had taken his face in my hands to kiss him.
