hello all my loves tonight I am thinking of all of you who are worse off than you were this time last year. of the people who have gone downhill mentally instead of up and everyone whose lives have gotten worse instead of better.
          
          you may be in a terribly awful place right now, or maybe just in a not so good place. I am telling you that there is relief ahead. you will be able to breathe again. I know it may be hard to believe in right now, but trust me instead of your own doubts. I love you.

I have so much love and respect and admiration for all of u young feminists!! esp all u who are learning and sharing your knowledge and speaking out. that takes so much courage bc being a teenager is already scary as all get-out and when u add feminism to the mix it's !!! god!! you all are so badass I love u all a whole lot

you deserve someone who isn't embarrassed to love you and tells all their friends about you and saves all your bad selfies to look at when they miss you and stays awake to talk to you and tells you how much they love you and how beautiful you are all the time and I really hope you find that one day because you truly do deserve to be loved

          I just wanted to tell you I think your writing is so beautiful and detailed, and I really loved reading your journal.

as we come into a new time, here's a gentle reminder that you have done well this last year. you met new people, learned new things, and felt new feelings. you did so many things that scared you. you picked yourself up off the floor after feeling defeated and heartbroken. there were some really bad nights but you survived them all. you made people happy just through your existence. it was your own hard work that has paid off but you always downplay it or compare it to others, and that's not fair. you have come so far, from the first day of the year to the last. you have more wisdom and strength now. 2018 was your year of growth. I hope you take a moment to be kind to yourself, and believe that 2019 can be even better.
