My name is Sydney, but I go by Syd most of the time.

I'm about to start a new chapter of my life.

My heart was born in the 40s and will always remain in the 50s.

I think all women are beautiful, and I'm waiting on one to see me a little differently.

My biggest role model is Marilyn Monroe; she is the definition of feminism, genuine beauty, and kindness.

I don't write stories; I just write what I'm feeling. I think I use this as more of a journal than anything.

My favorite authors are: Mitch Albom and Nicholas Sparks (I'm such a girl). I have read just about everything these two men have published, and I took something away from each novel I read.

Give me Frank Sinatra, Dion & the Belmonts, Frankie Lymon & the Teenagers, The Chordettes, The Everly Brothers, Benny Goodman, The Marvelettes, Bobby Darin, or anyone from the 40s-50s to listen to, and I might just fall in love with you. No joke.

I'm still waiting to slow dance to the above music with someone who loves it as much as I do. ^^

I have an open heart and mind, and I fall way too easy. Even then, I wouldn't change that.

The two most important men in my life passed away during my childhood experience; I don't think either of them should ever, ever be forgotten.
