[ her gaze looked over the woman twice, assessing the woman herself before coming to her conclusion—- more than likely another lie, but an acceptable one. blood loss fit her symptoms, just perhaps not at a blood bank. ] i’ve never given blood, so i’ll take you at your word for it. would you like some water? [ she did not offer up her ability to help, because it would only take away the symptoms—- it wouldn’t give her back the blood she seemed to have lost. though, perhaps even taking away the symptoms would have been a good thing for the unknown woman. ] i carry a water bottle with me everywhere i go.

@heaIingtouch * she had no idea how she was going to deflect that one. saying the truth would make her seem crazy, or at least crazier than she already was. this would have been the only moment Elena would have swapped out her humanity to be a vampire. if she could have just erased the girl's memory of her, then she wouldn't have to worry about any of this * I've just been to a blood drive. I guess I donated more than I probably should have. Um, apparently the little biscuits and cups of tea they give you after it wasn't quite enough. * there, not entirely a lie but it certainly wasn't going to make her seem like a nutjob. and it would explain why she was so woozy *

[ skye’s brows furrowed at the horribly delivered joke, as if she was judging the woman. she was not, of course, but she couldn’t necessarily control her face in some situations and this was one of them. ] are you light-headed? having trouble breathing? [ if she were to take whatever it was ailing her away, she’d rather know than offer her services to someone with something she couldn’t handle. ] i simply don’t deal well with lies, even the little white ones. i’d rather know the truth, especially if there’s something i can do to help.
