@timberlylake it's really intimidating at first, because sometimes the teachers veer off completely from the normal way of teaching and it can be a lot of work. all i can really say is pace yourself, and i wouldn't recommend taking more than five classes your first semester. you can add more in the next semester if you feel up to it. if you have questions for a rude or distant teacher, just ask. don't sugarcoat things, just begin with, "hi, hope you're well!" ask your question, and then say "thank you in advance." it's worked for me most often because then the teachers can see you're not making excuses. like a lot of high school teachers, they're very burnt out from students not listening or following directions. i know this is obvious, but before asking any questions, read absolutely every handout they have available (they give out so many more than hs teachers and all of them are important), so that if they just respond with "just read the directions," you can say you did and they can give you a proper answer. most teachers will be happy to help, though, and you'll likely only get one or even zero difficult teachers. i know it's pretty basic advice, but that's pretty much it. i'm sure you'll do great! <3
