[  it was easier said than done. his sight on the positive side of things gave her some hope but it would only last so long. it was difficult for her to put everything behind her but for him, she would try. she could agree with him— she didn’t want to waste anymore time with him. she already lost so much when she had ghosted.  ]  yeah, okay.  [  there was a pause.  ]   what about /her/?

[  his words were bittersweet. there were too many ‘buts’ for her liking— at least he was being honest. she let her head lean into his touch as she shut her eyes, hoping that it was all just a dream she would wake from.  ]  i understand..  [  a part of her knew she would have to let go of him but she had ignored it in hopes things would turn out in her favor. she thought that if she fought enough for him, maybe there would be a chance for her— for them.  ]   maybe in a different life, yeah?
