Not much to say, as I am a very private person. I am a wife, and mother, and work full time in a science-related field. I have an abiding love of art and architecture, Japan, rococo and Jane Austen. Thanks to Gaskell and Bronte I have a burgeoning interest in the very early industrial age, particularly the social movement.
I am very shy in real life, although I am an experienced public speaker and teacher.
I wish I had studied writing in college. Maybe I missed my calling?
I also love research of all kinds (scientific, historical, art), so combining the two to set the backdrop for a story makes me quite giddy. I also sew period clothing in 1/3 scale, but that is another story...
I wrote fanfiction previously under a different pen name. I took all those stories down, as I felt they were too racy, and I didn't want my child to see them. The stuff I will be posting now will be no racier than a T for that reason.
Beyond that, my writing is fifty percent for you, and fifty percent for me. I post here because I'm trying to improve, and because your reviews encourage me to keep at it. I truly appreciate it. Even "Update soon!" makes me smile. It's nice not to know that I'm not writing in isolation.
