Hi y'all :') I know it's been yet another year since you've heard from me and for that I apologize
          
          This year has been. fucking crazy for a multitude of reasons and it's taken several months for my life to actually be somewhat stabilized again
          
          All that on top of the regular untreated adhd wrecking my shit, the Riddle School fic keeps falling to the wayside even though I've spent years working on the story and the outline etc, I really want to finish it but trying to wade through mental illness and having a job now and trying to do a bijillion things at once... it's hard man
          
          Don't really know what the point of this post is other than to give my yearly "I haven't died yet" and to let people know my RS fic and my account isn't yet abandoned
          
          I've also got the Splatoon fic in the works so maybe I'll try to bounce back and forth between writing those projects, we'll have to see how it all goes
          
          So for now, toodles

Hello everyone! Bit of a minor update:
          
          I'm doing a couple formatting fixes to Riddle Me This, including how I format the timestamps and whatnot. Also including chapter numbers as well to make things a bit easier
          
          As for the status of chapter 5 and onward: I have chapter 5 halfway written out (I'll try to have it out by the end of November hopefully?), and I have the next 5-6 chapters outlined. I really am trying to not have such long gaps between updates as such but adhd is really kicking my ass over here so please have patience if updates take a bit qvq
          
          Feel free to poke me in Wattpad DMs or my Discord (same @ as here) if I haven't updated in some time, having people hold me accountable helps :')

Happy 17th birthday to Riddle School! It's been awhile since I've done anything for the anniversary, maybe I should strive to change that...

So... it's officially been over a year since I've updated Riddle Me This.
          
          That's a massive oopsie on my part. I've been working on the chapters here and there, but I've obviously not nearly as much progress as I'd hoped I would've by this point. I don't have some long-winded story to justify my absence like you might see on some AO3 author notes, but I do want to finish this story. One chapter a year is obviously not an acceptable pace to go at, especially if I want to actually complete the story I want to tell within this lifetime. I'm extremely sorry to everyone who has been waiting all this time for me to update, but I'll spend more time working on the story and (hopefully) get a consistent schedule going. If it helps, the first draft of chapter 2 is completed and I just have to proofread and do the artwork for it, and writing for chapter 3 has began. I'll try to have a small backlog of chapters ready to go before I resume updating, so there's at least a bit of wiggle room.

          Hello! I announced this in my random book just now, but after some consideration, I'm going to be changing my username on Wattpad to the name that I go by most commonly
          
          On December 25th (the same day Riddle Me This is supposed to be released), this account will go from being @/OddlesOfNoodles to @/tinytreesap

I'm working on a proper chapter about this in my random book, but for now I just want to acknowledge this as someone who creates Riddle School content and that I'm not ignoring the situation or condoning what happened.

          On Twitter yesterday, Jonochrome was exposed for grooming a teenage girl for about 5 years? (I'm not certain about the exact timeline, but still) and having a "romantic" relationship with her (by his own admission: https://twitter.com/Jonochrome/status/1457770617596301312)
          
          This was horrifying to hear about, having put in so much effort into my content along with Starry and others who've built our own complex universe based around the series. None of us had been prepared for this, and I'm truly disappointed in him. Many people (including myself) looked up to him, and it's been difficult to process that this has been happening for almost as long as I've been working on Riddle School content.
          
          That said, I will be continue working on my series reboot and will publish it when its ready; not because I think his actions are okay in any capacity, but rather because of the relationships I've built in this fandom and the collective effort we've put in as a fandom to create something entirely new, all on our own.
          
          Riddle School belongs to us now.

          I know it's been like, 3 years since I've made any content for it, but I hope to change that very soon
          
          This fandom was one of the most influential for me so I can't wait to get back to writing for it again :)
