          While writing Chapter Seven, I realized that although Arden does resent Sandra for nearly castrating him and leaving him impotent for three years, what truly drives him after they reunite isn’t revenge—it’s his obsession with her and his need to possess her. He’s consumed by a desire to control and own her, to the point of resorting to extreme measures just to keep her close. It’s not about punishing her for the past—it’s about a fixation he can’t escape. That’s why Love Obsession feels like a much more fitting title.
